My Investment Portfolio
I started my investment journey at the end of 2007 in ASNB. I know nothing about investment that time. What I know is the dividend rate of ASNB is higher than fixed deposits rate in bank. That’s all. Since I have extra money not in use, so I get my all extra into the ASNB. All these year ASNB gave me 6-7 percent dividend.
End of 2008, when the economy down turn occur, investor flooded to gold as hedge of inflation. I started to pay attention the intrinsic value of gold. I did my research and reading about gold. In middle of March 2009, I started invest some of my saving in Gold Saving Passbook Account from Maybank.
Once graduate at the mid of 2009, I started study stock market. I read economy news every morning which I never did it before in my life. I know that the stock market started to rebound at the first quarter and second quarter. I do not want to miss the train of market rebound. I opened an account at TA Securities and started to trade in September 2009.
To date, I have my investment portfolio quite diversify. I have ASNB, gold and stock market. For the time being, I will just increase the size of the each aspect, especially gold. In the next two years, I hope to add property into my portfolio.

Could you share with us what is your fund allocation to each catagory?

Wah wah, aggressive investor. Actually, as long as you know what you are doing and invest, you are not risky. I will continue ASM because the return is not that bad. Slow and steady. Regarding gold, I need more research on it first before buying some more gold.

Conservative portfolio. I also invest in ASNB because of its safety and confirming return.
