Check EPF Online
EPF (Employee Provident Fund) had provided online portal or i-akaun for their customer since 2005. Employees and employers can check their EPF stuff online through EPF website.
Sometimes we need to check our EPF balance especially when we change to new employer. Fraud might occur due to carelessness of the admin. So please check the salary deducted is banking into your EPF account for the first time in new company. I did check my EPF statement to avoid mistakes by the admin.
What you need to do are
1) Go to EPF branch to get your i-akaun activation code through Kiosk available
2) Go to EPF website –> i-akaun
3) Activate your i-akaun ( you can choose i-akaun only or i-akaun and m-akaun)
4) Fill up your personal detail and submit
m-akaun can help you subscribe to EPF services through mobile phone. Each message involved will be charged RM.0.20. Through m-akaun, employees and employers can more easily access to EPF services. However, temporary m-akaun services is unavailable by EPF. So in the future, you can choose to check your EPF status through i-akaun or m-akaun. Both are convenience compare to heading to nearby branches and queue up for services.
Through the online portal we can check current statement, withdrawal status and print various types of form.
